Kona Mountain Home is a unique plantation style house located on a 3 acre forest preserve. It is in Hawaii's serene cloud forest and is walking distance from hike/bike/horseback riding trails through the Honuaula Forest Reserve. Kona Mountain Home is crafted with the goal of making you feel at home in Hawaii. Situated on 3 acres among the rare ohia trees on the slopes of Hualalai, you will be surrounded by rare Hawaiian birds and lush tropical plants. Expansive lanais and decks invite you outside for meals and relaxation. Enjoy sunset views over the blue Pacific throughout the year.
The upper story of the main house has 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, an open kitchen/dining/living area, fireplace, a private lanai off a guest bedroom, and an expansive lanai with access from kitchen, living room, and master bedroom. At ground level there is an open deck along the back and side of the home. The new hot tub, outdoor shower, seating, & BBQ grill makes fun at Kona Mountain Home a sure thing. Inside on the lower level is the workout/game room and the garage with the kayaks, paddle board, and the rest of the beach gear. In the yard you can explore the 3 acres, pick avocados, cut flowers for the table, or listen to the birds sing.
The living room, master and guest bedroom have flat panel TV's with DISH satellite (full package including HBO, Cinemax, and Starz). The master bedroom is furnished with antiques (including an 1870 English Queen Bed), a large bay window, and access to the spacious lanai. The master bath has dual sinks, a soaking tub, and a glass shower. The guest bedroom has a private lanai and beautiful teak furnishings, including a queen size bed. The second guest room has a full and twin bed. Dining tables on the lanai and in the house allow for indoor or outdoor meals. The comfy couch and chair make it easy to cozy up for a movie after a fun day of adventure. The bright, open kitchen is cooking paradise and is stocked with stainless steel service ware, pots & pans, and long stem wine glasses. Appliances include a 5 burner gas glass top stove, side by side stainless steel refrigerator, Cuisinart coffee maker, Cuisinart burr mill coffee grinder, Kitchenaid stand mixer, microwave, & toaster. There are washers/dyers on both levels of the main house.
The second master is a single story effieciency with a king bed and queen size futon, living room, dining area, and full bath. An outdoor shower, and lanai help make the the second master an extra special retreat. A full size propane BBQ pit on the lanai includes a cooktop.
